3/26/10 - Fully Assembled Phantastrons are now Available!

If soldering's not your thing, then now's your chance:

We've had some time to take stock and make some fully assembled and tested phantastrons. Everything is hand made, assembled and tested by Lorin (with hand-picked tubes too). These special Phantastrons will be available at $350 each. Contact Lorin now to make sure you get one, they'll go fast. (we will add them to the shopping cart as well, but that may take a couple days...).

3/7/10 - DIY "Noise Synth" Workshop in Albuquerque. Build your own 4 oscillator synthesizer for $40!

CD CoverHans Kockelmans has recorded and released 3 major works for Phantastron. The CD, "Music For Phantastron" is published by Stichting Limburgse Componisten in the Netherlands. You can hear some of the Concerto Grosso for Phantastron on Hans' website.

CDs will be available from Stichting Limburgse Componisten sometime in the near future. At this writing, they are "Binnenkort verkrijgbaar" (coming soon).

The THERMATRON!

A flame controlled synthesizer! It takes a minute or two for the electrodes to heat up - so watch the whole thing. More technical info in my weblog (too complicated to put here)...

6/24 - Some Goings On:

1. New Video of a vintage LinnDrum (which Lorin restored from death) feeding a Phantastron's wicked tubes.
